MMBay - Mentee class of 2027 applications are open!
Applicant Qualifications
Be a current high school Freshman High School Class of 2027 (priority given to applicants living locally within San Francisco county and within Santa Clara county’s East Side Union High School & Campbell Union High School Districts)
Demonstrate financial need Self-identify as low income (priority given to those who qualify for free or reduced lunch and other school benefits, or have a family income under the Very Low or Extremely low HUD income thresholds - San Francisco Income Thresholds | Santa Clara Income Thresholds)
Be determined to go to college Demonstrate perseverance and strong passion for attending a 4-year college, and maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA in high school
Applications for the San Francisco and San Jose sites are open. If you’re interested in applying for either the San Francisco or San Jose site, use the link below to go to the online application. If you are interested in our Oakland site (which does not have a confirmed start date), please fill out the Prospective Mentee Information Form below.
While there is no confirmed start date for the Oakland site, we’ll keep your information on file and reach out when the site is ready to accept applications!

May 2024 Mentee interviews
Applicants will be invited to a 30 minute interview with current volunteers and program leaders
Early June 2024 Admission decisions released
July 2024 New Mentee Welcome Day
August 2024 Orientation and program start

Do you graduate in 2028+ or are interested in a different site?
If you graduate in 2028 or beyond, please fill out the Prospective Mentee Information form. We’ll keep your information on file, and reach out when applications for your class open.
We are excited to announce that the San Jose site will begin accepting students for Fall 2024. Beginning Fall 2024 (for the Class of 2027) both San Francisco and San Jose sites are open to serve students.
If you’re interested in joining the Oakland site (high school graduating class of 2028+), we’d love to stay in touch! We don’t have a confirmed start date for the site yet, but we’ll keep your information on file, and reach out when the site opens.
