Tutor for Writing & Reading / Mathematics / Science

Minds Matter of San Francisco is looking for committed and motivated individuals seeking a meaningful volunteer opportunity to join our Program team as Tutors in one or more of the following subject areas: (1) Writing & Reading (2) Mathematics (3) Science. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for preparing our high school mentees for success in the PSAT, SAT, and ACT Standardized Tests. 

Responsibilities

  • Tutor our Junior and Senior mentees in your subject area

  • Work with Lead Instructors and Mentors to track our mentees’ progress over the academic year

  • Attend and participate in tutor development and training sessions 

Requirements:

  • Able to commit 2-3 hours/week, even throughout the year, and 50-80% of morning sessions from 9:45-11:45am
  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to your chosen subject area

  • Prior tutoring experience strongly preferred

Reports to: SVP of Morning Programs
