Say "hello" to our leadership team.
Our leadership team works together to set the strategic direction for Minds Matter of San Francisco. They lead teams of amazing people who focus on both regular operations and broadening our impact in San Francisco.
Rachel Cai, Chief Executive Officer
Rachel is the Chief Executive Officer of Minds Matter of San Francisco. She joined MMSF in 2014 as the Head of Programming and, today, she leads MMSF's growth and operations across all our functions. She currently works for Google for Education as a Strategy and Solutions Manager, and previously worked as a consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and at the District Management Council. Rachel is originally from New Jersey and graduated from Princeton University. When she's not at her day job or volunteering, she enjoys traveling, hiking, scuba diving, board games, and hanging out with her dog.
Patrick Murren, Head of Programming
After serving for three years as a class lead for the Class of 2016, Patrick is now MMSF's Head of Programming, helping with everything from weekly session operations to guiding a highly talented team of instructional and mentoring leaders to scaling our program for future generations of MMSF students. A Teach For America alumnus ('07 New Orleans), Patrick earned his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Notre Dame. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and works in the structures group at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. When not designing buildings, mentoring students, or talking (griping) about his beloved Irish, you'll most likely find him on the golf course pursuing that elusive sub-80 round.
Dalglish Chew, Head of Curriculum
Dalglish serves as Head of Curriculum, leading the development, implementation, and assessment of Minds Matter of San Francisco’s mentoring and instructional curricula. He joined MMSF in 2013 as an instructor, and from 2014 - 2016 he led the effort to rebuild the organization's in-house Instructional Program in its current form. Hailing from Singapore, Dalglish graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 with BA in English and a BS in Economics, and is completing a PhD in English at Stanford University. After what feels like an eternity of teaching, learning, and schooling, Dalglish will (finally) rejoin the real world as an Associate with McKinsey & Co. in the Fall of 2017.

Prior to that, she spent 10 years at Google building up an eclectic background in diversity and inclusion, program and product management, operations, change management, corporate communications, and training.
