Minds Matter of San Francisco is a chapter of the national Minds Matter organization. Since its founding in New York City in 1991, the effectiveness of Minds Matter has been affirmed – 100% of its students have been accepted into a four-year college. The organization has expanded to eleven cities nationwide, including Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, and the Twin Cities.

We at Minds Matter San Francisco are proud to be in our academic fourth year. Last year we celebrated our inaugural cohort of seniors – 100% of whom were accepted into 4-year colleges. In the 2013-2014 academic year, we are serving 10 Senior, 11 Junior, and 22 Sophomore students from San Francisco public high schools. Our students participate in a rich set of programs including young professional mentorship, academic planning programs, MMSF-supported summer college programs for high school students, writing and critical thinking instruction and math instruction.
