OUR GOALS:
THREE YEARS WITH MINDS MATTER

Minds Matter's program centers around three important pillars. These pillars will help our students not just get into great colleges, but succeed in them.

DiscoveRY

Discovery is all about learning who you are, what you care about, and how to ask for what you need to get you where you want to go. It's a lifelong journey, but making personal discovery a part of your life is essential for building the confidence you need to be a great leader, team player, and well-rounded person.

Self-Knowledge / Awareness
I know who I am, what I need, and what I want

Self-Determination
I know how to get what I need and want

Self-Expression
I know how to express who I am, what I need and want

Planning

Nothing happens without a plan. Work closely with Minds Matter to develop a strong case for college and beyond by creating strong high school, college and financial plans. By actually putting together a plan to decide where you'll focus for the next few years (and creating backup plans, so you always have options) is what separates the basic students from the outstanding ones. Your time and money is precious, spend it where it makes the most sense.

High School
I am building a competitive portfolio of academic and extracurricular achievements

College
I possess the “college knowledge” necessary for navigating the application process

Financial
I am financially literate and have a plan for how I'll pay for college

Readiness

Readiness is all about building the skills to succeed in college and life. No one gets anywhere without hard work and determination and Minds Matter is here to help you prepare academically, mentally and socially, so you're ready for to tackle a variety of things that could happen, from really challenging classes to disrespectful roommates.

Academic
I possess the academic knowledge and skills necessary for college success

Psychological
I exhibit the behaviors, attitudes, and strategies necessary for college success

Social
I embody the interpersonal qualities necessary for college success
